Orientation takes place a few days before the start of the school year.

Orientation week 2023 is planned for September 27 - September 30, 2023. We encourage all incoming students to participate.

This is an opportunity for students to get acquainted with the university, their classmates and to socialize before the semester begins.

From September 29 to October 2, new first year medical and dental students were invited to join a variety of events online and on campus as part of the orientation week organized by the English Division Student Government and Dr. Magdalena Łazarewicz. Students had the opportunity to meet their teachers online, get tips and tricks from their older peers, visit the campus, and much more.

On the first day, students received a warm welcome from the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Education - Prof. Marek Kuch and from their respective Deans. Later, teachers across the board greeted their new students and gave brief presentations about their classes. This online session was particularly popular among the students and reached a record number of 103 listeners on Teams during the “Introduction to Anatomy Class.”

During a one-day on campus event, first year students participated in a Campus Banacha tour led by volunteers. The day was an opportunity for both first year medical and dental students to meet their classmates, English Division students from upper years and make new friends.

Students also had the opportunity to receive the necessary information about their stay in Warsaw, the procedures they should follow to obtain a temporary residence permit. They also learned about where to buy their books and about the support offered by the University Counselling Services at the Department of Medical Psychology and Medical Communication.

The success of this year’s O-Week can be contributed to the large group of volunteers organized by the English Division Student Government led by the expert guidance of  Dr. Magdalena Łazarewicz. Some of them will continue to support first year students as their mentors.

In the academic year 2020/2021, 130 new students from more than 40 different countries, including India, Norway, Israel, Malaysia, Korea, Iran and Egypt, joined the University's academic community.
