Electives Guide
Being an international community, it is often important for us to gain exposure in our home countries or the country that we would like to eventually work in. This is especially true for those wishing to work in Canada and the USA. On top of the mandatory "Summer Practice", it is possible to undertake up to a semesters worth of electives if you are able to convince the university. You can do this either through the Erasmus program, IFMSA or setting them up yourself.
Please note that the following courses are considered core and must be undertaken at MUW
-
Obstetrics and Gynecology
-
Internal Medicine (however, components of it can be taken elsewhere, such as, Cardiology)
-
General Surgery
-
Paediatrics
-
Family Medicine
*this list may change from year to year so consult with the Dean's office.
